Join Drs. Claudine Blin-Wakkach and Julien Paccou as they present on osteoimmunology and gut microbiome.
Learning Objectives:
1. Understand the cellular and molecular mechanisms by which intestinal inflammation and dysbiosis drive bone destruction, in particular in Crohn's disease and osteoporosis.
2. Understand the role of osteoclasts in sensing inflammatory signals, with a focus on their heterogeneity.
3. Evaluate the clinical consequences of gut inflammation on bone health, including osteoporosis, in patients with inflammatory bowel disease, particularly Crohn's disease.
4. Assess the therapeutic potential of probiotics to mitigate bone loss and improve skeletal outcomes.
